Political Tension

The presidential elections of 2007 are unbderway, but the political tension is ripping the country apart.

What Lebanon needs now in place of instability is relief in the form of practical solutions for the security, the economy, and tourism.

Lebanon is being denied opportunities and its future 3a kaff 3afreet (in the devil's hands).

Tas3eed (war of words) is a political game, which is being used left and right on a daily basis. If any of the politicians love Lebanon as they claim, from whichever side, they would have mercy on its people, and give them hope instead of fear.

Talks between Hariri and Aoun during the last week of October 2007 gave people alot of hope.... not because the talks were extraordinary, although that element existed, but because the people are hanging by a thread, and any light of hope, no matter how dim, is keeping them emotionally alive.

Eventually, nothing will save Lebanon but agreement,... no side can illiminate the other,....the problem in lebanese politics is that each side has its external allies, each side considers the other side the devil, and each side thinks that they are the only true lebanese blood!!!! If we continue this way, Lebanon will slowly die. True that it might rise again like the phoenix, as it always does, but how many times can you be burnt and restored, before you give up!!!! How many times can you be burnt then restored, when all the other birds next to you (example Dubai) are florishing and taking your place as the bird of the region!!!!

It only takes wisdom, so let's hope that the decision makers have some of it.
